Charles Wood Girls' Choir

The new Charles Wood Girls' Choir is a week-long residential summer course for girl choristers aged 12-18, sponsored by Ulster Carpets. Participants will experience intensive, fun training in singing and choral music under the direction of Ian Keatley (Organist & Director of Music, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin), assisted by Stephen Disley. They will also enjoy workshops with David Hill, John Rutter and Paul Farrington.

The schedule includes opportunities to perform at services and concerts in the Church of Ireland Cathedral and St Malachy's Church, as well as a BBC Radio Ulster Broadcast. Full details of the course, which runs from Monday 21 August to Sunday 27 August, are available here.

All meals and accommodation will be provided in the very pleasant, safe, and secure surroundings of The Royal School Armagh, under the care and supervision of an experienced all-female on-site boarding team and matron. Safeguarding procedures and documentation is overseen by the Girls' Choir Course Safeguarding Panel in consultation with Margaret Yarr (Church of Ireland Child Protection Officer for Northern Ireland) and Olive Good (Regulator for Safeguarding Trust, Church of Ireland House, Dublin).
