30th Festival Gala Concert

Musicians associated with the Festival come together for the 30th Festival’s Gala Concert on Friday 25th August. It’s going to be a glorious evening of music, climaxing in a performance of John Rutter’s uplifting Gloria, complete with organ, brass and percussion accompaniment. Also on the bill, Wood’s Hail, Gladdening Light, performed alongside the winning work in the Festival’s Composers’ Competition; Bob Chilcott’s 30th Festival commission; and a stunning arrangement of the hymn, All My Hope On God Is Founded. Join us in St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh, at 8pm on Friday 25th August.

Featuring: The Charles Wood Singers; David Hill (conductor); Philip Scriven (organ) The Charles Wood Girls’ Choir; Ian Keatley (conductor); Colum Donovan-Paterson (baritone) – Charles Wood Song Competition Senior Winner 2023 – with Ruth McGinley (piano) Insieme Brass and Friends And the 2023 Senior Winner of the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition.
