30th Festival Opening Concert

On Sunday 20 August at 8pm, our FREE opening concert features the acclaimed chamber choir The Priory Singers directed by Philip Bolton MBE, and leading Canadian organist Professor Isabelle Demers, in the glorious surroundings of St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral.

Choral works include Bob Chilcott's A Little Jazz Mass, ahead of his Festival visit this year, alongside other popular choral anthems. The concert will also feature organ classics and transcriptions by Bach and Wagner, performed by Isabelle Demers ahead of her solo concert at this year’s BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This is sure to be an unmissable start to the 30th Charles Wood Festival!

Tickets are now available here. Admission is free with a retiring collection (suggested donation £10).

In association with J Hatty and Co.
